Depends on how your going to drive it. I keep 2 spare diffs to be safe, but if you got cash, definitely get the inline pro diff upgrade.

Comptech reinforced, cryo'd everything, solid steel sleeve on the pinion gear. Should be good for over 500rwhp. Puddy should chime in...

And by track I'm assuming you mean 'strip'.

I'm at about 400hp, on my original diff. I don't do clutch dumps as they are not required for track days and I don't do drag racing.

i wonder if a rx7 turbo II diff would work. Its a popular upgrade for the miata guys and our diff is bascially a miata diff. I think what inline is asking is insane...and i am going to look for a different route.

You do realize nearly 75% of the cost of the inlinepro kit are the axles / driveshaft from The Driveshaft Shop?

If you want to go the cheap route, upgrade just the diff. However, now your left with the problem of the stock s2k axles being weak as well so then you have to upgrade that which is the expensive part of the whole thing really.

I think the main question here is what kind of racing will you be doing? Road race / autox stock diff is more then adequate. Drag racing? Your WILL need the IP kit if you want to last more then a few runs. Theres no way around it.
