i'm starting to hear some noises after being FI for ~3 months. theres a cusco 1.5 way lsd in s2000 pumpkin for sale locally. if i get this new lsd unit will it be more resistant to damage than the stock one? i plan to swap my 4.77 gears in to the unit with the cusco.
The LSD is not the weak point in the diff...

From what I've seen, the gear teeth break off along with other mechanical parts inside the differential.

i'm running hte Chrysler 8.75" rear by Kasper Fabrications w/ Driveshop shop 1000hp axles and prop shaft.

Broke rear in for a while. After installing linelock, did my first hole shot first and second gear. After that, my tranny blew.

Have a built engine by Inlinepro whih I plan on making 600 +.
But the trans is concerning me. Not going to put the car back on road and blow the trans the same day so gonna chill for a while and see what other options there are.

There is always going to be a week link in the drive train. My out look on it is make it cheep, easy to get to, and easy to fix. The stock axles are very good and will take a good amount of demand before a failure. You can replace one pretty easy and pick one up for around $200 bucks.

Sorry to here you have a very expensive and hard to replace transmission. I here there is a company in Australia making a transmission for our car that will handle pretty much anything for $7,000

Good luck
