rear evap removal help
i removed mine stuff today and since my s2k is a returnless system, i only had one main vent going to the evap system. still trying to get the filter situation figured out. i may end up getting the one you have.
the reason why i took it out is because aem doesnt power the emissions control so the tank fills up with liquid and leaks out causing the smell. thats how i understand it anyway.... i could be wrong!
waiting on my intake still....then 25 hrs of buffing then ill fire her up and let ya know.

this does make your check engine light come on with flashpro. there is a option to disable evap/purge which i am hoping should turn of the light. i should be able to do this wednesday or thursday to check but my car is parked at a friends garage at the moment
ok so i reflashed my tune with the evap/purge option disabled and it throwing 2 codes still. one is a low volatge signal and one a high voltage signal. 2 codes, 2 sensor clips unplugged from removing the evap at rear of car. i didnt touch it in the engine bay. i figured i could trick the ecu to correct the high voltage code by using a resistor hardwired to that sensor. do you think i should try that or just hardwire the 2 sensors to each other since one is saying high voltage and the other low voltage????? hmmmmm what to do???
ok it doesnt look like anyone is following this post but i figured i would post my conclusion since it seems im they first guy to do this on a dbw ap2 on flashpro.
- i believe the evap diasbling option in flashpro in just for the engine bay connection, i have not messed with this in the bay at all so far.
when i removed the evap it threw 2 codes for the 2 sensors i disconnected from the evap system. one of the sensors can be easily removed from the box which is a 3 wire connector. i believe this is the solenoid for the system. the other connector is a 2 wire. if you plug the connector in the 3 wire sensor and "hardwire or jump" the 2 wire sensor then the ecu thinks the system is there. no codes. drive ten miles after doing this and still no codes.
i feel like a pioneer in the flashpro world, lol. and it shaved about 15 pounds of my S2k. and thanks for wy2slow_z for his idea on the vent near the gas filler.

Still running without check engine after evap removed? Im going to do this soon what did you do on tank side wires and sensor to keep check engine off? Are you getting any gas smell?
