My stock Vortech S/C is making 8psi at 9000rpm..

Default My stock Vortech S/C is making 8psi at 9000rpm..
Recently I have installed Boost Gauge and my Vortech S/C is making 8-9psi at 9000rpm.
is this normal?
It has stock pully and I thought stock pully only makes around 5-6psi.

According to vortech's site it makes 7-8psi.

Also how can you be sure your gauge is accurate?

Stock pulley on the Comptech is around 5-6, vortech is 7-8.

My boost gauge sais I'm only running 3lbs when in fact I have 5. its the gauge.

With the stock Comptech pulley my gauges read 5 psi, 1st and 2nd gear at 9k. 6 psi, 3rd gear and up at 9k. I have seen it say 7 psi once in a while in the higher gears.
