Recommended Spark Plugs
I've been digging through the threads, but have failed to find this answer. Please forgive me if it is in some obvious place. Just point me there and chalk it up to me being old!
I have a year 2000 S2000 with a Kraftwerks Supercharger kit. I have had the SC for 6 years and 35,000 miles. I love it but I am starting to feel occasional hesitation during moderate acceleration, just as I change gears. My mechanic thinks it might be the plugs. Okay, so what plugs should I order? Kraftwerks says go one level "colder" than stock. I can look up the part number for stock, but how do I find out how to order one level colder plugs? Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance for the help!

For Champion, Autolite and Bosch, the higher the number, the hotter the plug. For NGK, Denso and Pulstar, the higher the number, the colder the plug.
So for example if you're using ngk bkr7eix-11, you'd change to ngk bkr8eix-11, which are one step colder.
What colder plugs do is prevent detonation. The way that would translate to your issue is if ecu is pulling timing because its sensing detonation. Colder plugs could prevent this.
But what ecu do you have? Is it odb compliant? Because if this IS your issue, you should be getting a cel and codes for misfire.

NGK BKR8EIX and don't look back. Works wonders in my SC AP1 and also made an improvement to power when it was NA.

Just be weary of buying plugs from Amazon. You can end up with a fake set quite easily... ask me how I know.

Another vote for NGK BKR8EIX. Make sure you gap them down properly to prevent misfires. If I remember correctly, I had mine gapped down to 0.017. Zero misfires and idles perfect. But I'm on full E85 and 18psi. If you're still on pump gas you can probably gap them down to 0.020-0.025 and be fine.
