Default Remote mount oil pressure sender/sensor

I have an AEM Brass Oil Pressure sender/sensor I wish to plumb in. It's 1/8th NPT so will screw right into my block. But as that is where I T off my oil supply to the turbo there is already a brass fitting there and I have been warned not to have too many brass fittings off the block as they can become brittle and crack which would lead to catastrophic failure.

So to remote mount my oil pressure sensor requires a short length of braided hose (suitable for oil) with 1/8th NPT male at one end and 1/8th NPT femail at the other. And I'm guessing it needs to be between 15 and 20 inches in length.

Is this correct? Who else has remote mounted there oil pressure sensor and what did you use? And where did you source it?

Summit racing has everything you need. Make sure you let us know how you wire up the sensor.

Cheers, I'll check them out.

I also realised I'm heading out west tomorrow and there's a pretty good fitting shop I know so I'll drop in and see what they have.

I'll do a write up when I hook it up.

I've heard the same thing. I have a sandwhich adapter that went where my oil cooler was, and just screwed it directly into that. However I've heard best is to have it remote mounted to the frame to keep it free from the vibrations of the motor, which I plan to do once I'm back on the road.

2nd on how it was wired up, post back!!

yes, please do post your results.. I have been thinking about doing this.. there's no space to run a sandwich on a PTuning kit so I've been contemplating doing a remote mount.

Are you still using your stock oil pressure sensor? Just trying to get an idea of how this is all going to come together.
