Default removing air pump help pleasey

Hi guys,

Anyone removed their air pump running a ctsc + ac?, confused as to what to do with vacuum box, vac lines and air solenoid?

As we know the divertor valve has a vacuum line on, I presume it still needs connected to work? So run a line to back of the intake manifold to the DV? .

What do you do with air solenoid valve as it has vacuum line connectors, connects to the vacuum box and has an electrical connection? - confused if you disconnect or loop round?

My kit just removes the pump so you need to retain the relay, fuse box etc etc.

Thanks

if your running EMS or Kpro you will not need any of that stuff. But I think the stock computer looks for that. I have it all removed on my car, but Im on Kpro. Perhaps someone with personal experience on this can chime in.

Yes, run a vacuum line from the intake manifold to the diverter valve.

Which "kit"just removes the air pump? most likely you can get rid of all the other crap too. At least everyone that has been using the izze racing kit has been able to.

i removeed the air pump, the large hoses that run to and from it and thats it, and i only removed it cause it was in the way. there is a lot of other crap you can remove too, but im lazy and its in the black hole side of the motor, IE intake manifold side. said f@#k it and left that crap.

if your ems and its in the way then remove it, otherwise, not really a benefit. some will say weight, but seriously, its a few lbs lol.

I am removing it because it looks like its failed, seems everything including vac tank, lines, solenoid, electrical gubbins come in at around 10-11 lbs.

I have just a resistor kit so, i can remove everything bar the electrical items.

WHICH resistor kit; do you need a block off plate after you remove EGR?

It was made by a guy who included a resistor on a plate (cant remember ohm rating) with two connectors (connects to the plug that would originally go to the airpump) and a blanking plate for the EGR - this apparently only works on EURO S2000's on the stock ECU.

Ok, well fyi, on the US models, with the kit, you can remove all the stuff (relays/etc). I would unplug those, see if CEL comes on, if not, remove.

Has anyone removed or frigged the air solenoid valve/vacuum valve its just two pin connecter.

Wondering if I can bridge connection or something? Of course on stock ecu using the resistor trick.

Does the air solenoid valve do much about part from engage/disengage on cold start up?

Cheers
