resistor box vs injector driver
I've been running a resistor box before but am going to be swapping out to an injector driver shortly. It worked ok and I didnt notice hiccups. From what a few users have said the engine appears to be more responsive and smoother including idle.

Let me break it down. There are two types of injectors first being saterated which is stock on the S2000. They are high impedance usually around 12-14ohms. The second type are peak and hold, these are low impedance 2-3ohms and require either a resistor pack (because of the impedance mismatch) or an injector driver.
Now here's the fun part, the reason why you want to use an injector driver rather than a resistor box is the signaling going to the injectors. If you where to hook up an o-scope to the injectors this is what you would see...(this is cruide)
Saterated ____---------______
. /|
Peak and Hold ____/ |--------___
Basicly like the name implys peak and hold sends a spike of current to aid in lifting the heavy needles associated with large injectors. Saterated do not since smaller injectors use smaller needles. If you use a resistor box on a saterated system to use P&H injectors you are sending the wrong signaling to the injector. Rather than having a spike then a constant low current, you have a constany high current. This causes tuning at idle and high vacuum states almost impossible because the pulse width isn't long enough to open the injector with out the peak.
Hope that helps
