Default Restrictor With Jb Turbos

I have read alot of threads about the JB Precision Turbo's
Failing due to the 4an restrictor .

Most of the threads I saw were not top mount Setups or Garrett Turbos.

Will the samething happen with Garrett and 4an restrictor?

I've Seen people mention using 3an restrictor instead but no leaving proof if it made a big difference!

HELP

My turbo is a Garrett 60-1 Jb

Just make sure that you use an 0.065" restrictor, the line size does not matter. Since the Precision trubo's use Garret center section I would "Assume" that this would be the same. You will need to verify with a trusted source.

my friend has a journal bearing 57 trim (garrett) on his RSX, feeding it with unrestrcited -4 with no issues

i am going to run my JB with a -3 feed unrestricted and see what happens, if i get smoke at all i will add a .065" restrictor

i spoke with many people saying the turbo should be fine unrestricted with -3 on a JB precision, even tho PTE suggests -4, i wouldnt use it on a JB turbo with our high oil pressure

PPL are having problems with the 4an

I'm sure the oil pressure is has higher oil pressure than the RSX!

I don't want chance it and go with 4an so I might have to find a 3an
or a .065

-3 line will be just fine as long as you have at least a -8 drain into the correct place. The -3 ID is around .100" and I've been using them for years with no problems.

I had to use a restrictor. At first the turbo was smoking pretty good, then after using a restrictor it has been slowly going away. If you can run without it just fine then awesome, if it starts smoking, you know what you have to do.
