Default Return fuel system

Anyone out there in S2K land have experience converting a returnless fuel system of an ap2 v2 to a return system of the v1? I have an 06 and after looking through the Helms manual it seems the parts to an 05 will work without issue. Rather than just start buying parts hoping they will fit I thought I'd check with the forum posters first.

The reason I plan to convert is because with the modifications I've made to the car(Laskey short block with Darton sleeves, bored to 88mm, cp pistons, pauter rods, compression dropped to 10:1, head ported and flowed by portflow, supertech dual springs, stainless valves and titanium retainers, berk header and hfc (test pipe for the track)) it's running close to the fuel delivery capabilities of the returnless system (this is according to a Doug at Hondata and Oscar Jackson so I trust the sources). They have told me that when you start running FI too much over 400whp it really taxes the system and creating a return flow allows for better, more stable flow. I could probably get away with the stock system but would rather not risk it unless someone out there has experience that is contrary to what I've heard.

Bottom line, I'm hoping the 05 system will work because it looks like I will not have to drill the tank and all the pressure regulation is accounted for. Please let me know if you've done this, is there any issue with the computer?

Has no one ever done this? Am I wasting my time and putting unneccesary pressure on myself?

IIRC there was someone toying with the idea. Try calling the guys at InlinePro. I think they might have had someone trying that. Ask for Ya.
