so everything is done with my car i go and start it and it throws a check engine light and will only rev to 3k could this be cuz i dont have a bypass vavle?

 

are you getting fuel cut at 3k?

i can't imagine a bpv will do this to you.
what exactly are you running? turbo? sc?
what kind of engine management? aem? emanage?

Try telling your whole story and see if you get a better response.

When did you go turbo?
When did you install the AEM?
When did the problem start?

Oh, and BTW, I'm guessing not everything is done yet, and that's your problem.

 

What is the check engine light for? I think AEM still reads those things, but they pop up for different reasons. Datalog anything yet? I think more info is needed than what you have provided. We are not psychic.

If you are using the AEM EMS, the CEL will not work unless its set in the software. Things like the ABS indicator / SRS light / etc will still work however and you can use the CEL to pull the code (off topic).

your car is probably shutting down once it sees boost. Are you running any EMS currently?
