Do NOT drive the car untuned for 1000 miles unless you want to build another motor.
True story.

I'd suggest finding another tuner.

I should have said 'fine'- tune it afterwards. Ofcourse it's going to be tuned before driving it.

But after the initial tune we're breaking the engine in for 1k. Exactly how he wants to do this hasn't been planned yet.

Thanks for the link, i'll be sure to read it and pass it on

Any answers to my question?

I actually meant if anyone has hands on experience with this setup and can tell me the limits.

That turbo is the same I have, it spools fast. No need in taking it over 9000rpm since the turbine wheel is gonna start giving you a load of backpressure past that point.

The funny thing is.. I thought this was a myth, cause over here were I work, we got Chevy ZO6's and Callaway Corvette's brand new... Starting 2 years ago, a machinst engine builder came in to buy a ZO6, and he clearly wanted to know the mileage of each ZO6 we had after finding one that had only 6 miles on the odo... He quickly came down, signed papers, and handed me the check without even driving the car. He then got me in the car while he was waiting for his wife to pick up the truck he came there with, and drove like a madman outta hell.... For almost a good hour, he literally abused the car through all the first 4 gears, max revved out the motor, and practically which at the time looked he was gonna blow the damn thing...

His reason he told was just like what's mentioned in this article..

Make a long story short only 4 people I have met for the past 2 years since this incident has done the same....

Well my clutch has been on the car for 10k now with about 450whp.

With my Ironman clutch it took around 1500km to break in completely.
