I would send the bill to brian crower....how the hell can something like this make it to production.....
I just don't understand how he could release these cams without any prior dyno testing. I emailed him for dyno plots, but he didn't have any to provide me but he estimated some big numbers.

has anybody had the skunk 2 cams?
I emailed Skunk2 about their cams as well, and this was their response:

Thank you for having interest in our Skunk2 product line. Yes these camshafts are currently available. here is the part number and price as for Dyno charts i currently do not have any but i can provide you with a Hp and Tq gain. hope this helps.

S2 F20c-F22c S2000 Stage 2 Camshafts.

Part # 305-05-0305

MSRP $ 847.88

HP 12-15

TQ 15-18
So like Brian Crower, Skunk2 doesn't have any actual dyno plots either and is probably just throwing numbers out of their asses. Someone will have to be guinea pig for these cams as well.

You'd think these companies could spring the $100 and go get a friggin dyno..I mean, it's not like either Brian Crower OR Skunk2 are smalltime...

You guys are very quick to judge. Not to impugn OGPackin or his mechanic/tuner but let's wait till we hear back from Brian Crower or another install.

That's what I'm trying to say!

I just don't understand how you can market a $500+ product without any substantiating proof that it will improve the car's performance.

OG, you need to be compensated for that. I am sorry to hear about your recent experience.

Cam gears and appropriate tuning might have made the difference.

Sorry I haven't been too active on the boards lately. I've been going through some stuff in my personal life. Anyways, I have been in contact with OGPackin the last few days and it would seem that there are just some faultiness with it. After talking to BC for a bit it was my assumption that there was too much overlap overall and that's what's causing the problem. However I expressed to him that these cams shouldn't need cam gears to actually make power. I also think there could be other variables like the 3mm gasket requiring the removal of the pin...maybe it's not aligned correctly...who knows.

Anyone who purchased a stage 2 cam set from me will get their money back after returning the cams (can be used). I sent each of them a PM with the information they need. I don't think you should have to pay for a product that doesn't work.

I hope this doesn't turn into a lovefab type thread where there is unnecessary bashing. The BC cams for a bunch of other cars make very good power but I guess he lucked out on the S2000. I will make a new offering to s2ki in the near future for a cam solution and I won't make the same mistake of selling something untested. Those who purchased the first batch gambled and lost...though OG seems to have lost a bit more (I'll make it upto you in the future...out of good will ) as did I.
