Default Rotrex C30-94 advice

Hi Guys,

I've been running a TTS supercharger setup on my AP1 JDM s2000 for over a year now without any major issues. The car is making 368bhp and 225lbs/ft and so far i've been happy with that power level but part of me wants more! My C30-94 is currently fitted with a restrictor on the inlet which reduces the inlet size from 65mm to 50mm and i'm wondering if removing it and having the car re-mapped is going to be ok with my current setup or if i'm going to have to upgrade anything?

My current setup is:

2 litre F20c
Rotrex C30 supercharger setup from TTS still running a restrictor
RC 750cc injectors
255lph uprated fuel pump
Front mount intercooler
Dump valve
ITG air filter
AEM EMS standalone ECU mapped @ TDi North making 368bhp and 225lbs/ft (before DMS exhaust)
Modifry ECT (to make the temp gauge work with the EMS)
Setrab oil cooler for the supercharger oil
Full 3” DMS PRO76S exhaust including manifold, single exit with blue tip

I need to have the car re-mapped soon anyway as i've recently fitted the 3" exhaust system so would ideally like to remove the restrictor when I do this.

What do you guys think? will the RC750's be ok with the extra boost? Should I look at upgrading anything in particular?

I've just picked up a boost gauge so that I can find out what sort of pressure the charger is currently running at so will post up that info as soon as I get it plumbed in and go for a drive.

Thanks
Nick

Nick:

I have never understood the use of the restrictor and for the life of me I always forget to ask Richard or Paul about it when we talk. Since you’re going to retune the S I can’t see why you can't remove it. The only thing I would change is the RC750s for a set of ID 750s or 1000s. RCs have a very course spray vs the IDs whichhave a fine spray and allow for a smoother tune. Another thing you may want to ponder is going to a C38 series sc. I had a KW kit witha C30-94 and now own a TTS kit with a C38-81 and man the TTS kit is just plain outstanding.
