[QUOTE=PRS2K,Aug 9 2006, 05:03 PM] 1. Take a deep breath
2. Disconnect battery and remove
3. Remove Bolts

I have nord-lock washers on my wastegate bolts and they don't work for me.

What are stover nuts?
A stover nut is an all metal lock nut,I use the stover nuts and nord-lock washers together and so far nothing has come loose.They use this nut washer combo on industrial machines.

Welcome to my loose world

So nothing stays tight on this damn car. So I double nutted the brace and it should be ok since not a lot of hear raidates onto the u-clamp.
Tell me about it! Bracing the downpipe, doesnt work. Bracing the dump tube, doesnt work. Im betting youll be breaking your bracing material next
Heres a shot of what Ive done with my kit to try and resolve this(so far, so good).

damn talk about keeping that thing tight. It looks good though. HOpe it stays tight.

I was just looking at a damper from NRG to see how I can make it tight.

As far as the bracing on the downpipe I decided not to have the brace welded onto the downpipe because as you said I was fearing it would tear off. Instead, I decided to put a U-clamp that connects to the stock manifold brace.

I guess my time was coming very soon.
Went to the track. Made my first pass at 11.74.

Went to try a second time and car was breaking up and had no power.

Turns out that the wastegate had come loose all the way for the first time

I'm just not even sure at this point what to do. I thought the nord-lock washers were pretty good but they get a big

It's pretty disapointing to have not been able to make another pass at the track because of this stupid shyt
