S-2000 SC Problem
I have a Godzilla BOV on my 2003 Honda S-2000 equipped with a Comptech SC. When running at constant RPMs in any gear, I get a very loud chirping noise. The sound is like a bearing going bad. If I give a little throttle (i.e., a little boost), the sound stops immediately. When under high boost, there is never any sound. It also seems the chirping is louder when the air is hotter (I am running an innercooler). I tightened the SC belt but it made no difference.
When I was running a low boost pulley, I ran the blowoff back into the engine. However, once I went ot higher boost levels and added the Godzilla BOV, I got the loud chirping sound. Friends can hear it three cars back.
My question: is the Godzilla BOV adjustable so as to provide more relief capacity? If so, can you explain how to adjust the spring? Is adding more relief even the answer?
Maybe the chirping sound is not from lack of blowoff capacity. Anyone have experience with this issue?
