S/c setup going to E85 - what to expect?
FYI on my Novi1220 setup at 16 PSI I was pushing well into the 90's% duty cycle range with my ID1000's on E85 and I was using an AEM adjustable FPR set to a base fuel pressure of about 55 PSI. You can extend the capabilities of your ID1000's a bit by cranking the base fuel pressure and adding more pump, but it will only get you so far. It's better to go ahead and grab the bigger injectors.

That would involve an ethanol composition sensor feeding composition percentage data back to the ECU to have it interpolate between a set of data points and modify fueling and timing accordingly. Flashpro can not currently handle that. That's all I was trying to say.
If OP wants to run a dual-fuel setup where he runs exclusively 93 octane or exclusively E85, that's a different story that Flashpro can handle. But the phrase flex fuel suggests that isn't what he's after.

Thank you, Brian
No it's ok man, I didn't realize that people were mis-using or confusing the term... To me flex fuel has always meant being able to modulate between the two. No need to apologize, I was just trying to clarify my point as I thought you may have interpreted it a different way than what I intended.

Flashpro just can't "Flex" between gasoline and E85. It CAN run it.
thank u
Fuels...
E85... is an abbreviation for an ethanol fuel blend of 85% denatured ethanol fuel and 15% gasoline or other hydrocarbon by volume, although the exact ratio of fuel ethanol to hydrocarbon can vary considerably while still carrying the E85 label.
Gasoline...a volatile flammable liquid hydrocarbon mixture used as a fuel especially for internal combustion engines and usually blended from several products of natural gas and petroleum
"Flex fuel" ...a term used by vehicle manufacturers to describe a fuel system that can "flex" between gasoline and E85 ethanol. "Flexfuel" is NOT a fuel it is a term.
Flex fuel...adjective
relating to cars or engines that can run o nmore than one type of fuel, usually petrol and ethanol
