I've seen both superchargers and turbos on the S and I like the response of the turbo more. And I can make more power with the turbo, I'm looking to get 400hp now but might go more later.
Going from SC to Turbo is the whole set up, there is nothing but your engine management that you will be keeping to make 400whp+. If you want more then 400whp, you can upgrade your blower to a Novi 1200 and net 500whp for less then switching to a turbo set up as well.

Actually SC delivers much better response, so you wouldn't be getting a turbo for that, you would be getting it for more trq under the curve generally, but shittier response. Though your running a Turbo cooling system on a SC ie fmic which is robbing you of your full power potential and throttle response unfortunately. An After cooler is the only way to go with an SC. Just want to make sure you know what your doing, becuase I'm not following your logic. I'm hear to help when I see holes in someones logic/ideas in their head they are kicking around. It doesn't do you much good being here to just have a bunch of guys agree with what ever you say if you clearly haven't considered everything fully, right? />

If you are still on a stock clutch then that will need upgrading also.

^^ This guy knows what he's talking about!

So the OP wants the slingshot effect of the turbo.

Junky is telling you the real deal.. your intercooler is actually an air/water heat exchanger, wont be using that, will need bigger injectors...so you really don't keep much of anything. I was in the same position a few months back and put a smaller pulley on my nv1000 and still was not satisfied, so I upgraded to the nv1200... and WOW is there a huge freaking difference. That upgrade makes you get a new mounting plate and obviously blower...you are still going to need bigger injectors and a new pulley...but other than that...a tune, but you will certainly need that for turbo as well. BUT, it is your car and your wallet, so if you want to go through it...my suggestion would be go all in!

Surprisingly for how many Comptech NV1000 kits there are out there, there really hasn't been many people that have fully maximized them. 400whp Dynojet is well attainable, the highest I think Ive seen advertised by one of our members on this Dyno is 417whp.

3" Pulley/15psi is where you will need to be to hit 400whp. Any bigger pulley and you will typically fall short. Like I said, most never have maximized the blower to see what it will do, either becuase they are not interested in finding out, or lose interest and move to a different set up, sometimes prematurely.

Mid to upper 300rwhp range. I am at 360ish with about 11 PSI. It will depend on pulley size, aggressiveness of tune, fuel type, exhaust and other performance parts. I have heard of people getting to 400rwhp with the blower though but I don't think most are able to get that. A smaller pulley and AEM will give you some more grunt down low though compared to a basic comptech setup.
