Default S2000 Differential Durability with SOS s/c

I looking to buy a SOS Tuner kit with the Novi 1200. I want to shoot for around 420whp, I already have (almost) everything else I need, but my differential nor transmission has been touched. Will the differential be able to hold up against the added power? Any owners want to chime in? TBH if I have to upgrade the diff for that power I'll probably just hold off for now.

I haven't decided whether I should buy a used SOS or new SOS kit. But I def want a larger heat exchanger, I'm pretty sure I don't want the SOS upgraded because its just too expensive for what it is IMO.

Its all in how you drive it. Its gonna break eventually regardless, the more you punish it the quicker this will happen.

Yep. I think we've had guys in Atlanta break the diff/axles autocrossing on a stock engine. If you don't launch hard and don't spend all day at redline it might be OK for a while. For the cost, the easiest thing to do might be to just run the stock trans/diff until they break and then swap in used ones.

Mine survived 25+ dyno pulls and 20+ backroad runs (full throttle in 3rd + 4th to pass slower cars), but I think it's reaching the end of the line. The shifter is starting to pop out of gear sometimes, and the diff is making some really loud clunks.

I'm still on my original diff & tranny at 55k miles.. motors were not as lucky haha.. My car has been boosted for the last 25k at 410whp turbo & over 400whp S/C.. Ive done a fair amount of launches on the street.

It's all about how you drive it... been launching and shifting like a boss at 8.5kRPM in my AP1 for the last 6 months and nothing has break in it... keep in mind I go to street and legal races almost every weekend

* I bought the car to be a drag racing car... So I've been trying to break the diff to get a good one and go boosted but none of that have happened.. Starting to think just go boosted and break it up there...

JUST BE SURE THE TIRES SPIN WHEN YOU LAUNCH!!

So you aren't even FI yet? That doesn't really help, I shift like Brian Earl Spillner EVERYDAY.
