S2000 Differential Durability with SOS s/c
i plan on swapping a r200 diff when mine takes a crap, i think i can get a local shop to fab it up alot cheaper than the full blown kit. Plus side is they can take a beating and they are cheap as dirt to replace.
r200, i meant to say inlinepro. heres the kit, expensive though. thats why i think i can get one custom made for alot cheaper

I think you're confused. 8.8 or R200?

It's all about how you drive it... been launching and shifting like a boss at 8.5kRPM in my AP1 for the last 6 months and nothing has break in it... keep in mind I go to street and legal races almost every weekend
* I bought the car to be a drag racing car... So I've been trying to break the diff to get a good one and go boosted but none of that have happened.. Starting to think just go boosted and break it up there...
JUST BE SURE THE TIRES SPIN WHEN YOU LAUNCH!!

seriously tho, I'm only at 300 but plan to hit 400 soon, I have 105k miles on my car, been SC'ed for over 60k, still on oem diff, trans and clutch. I don't think a day goes by that I don't push and hit 9k in 1st 2nd and 3rd lol. It has taken the abuse very well. I know the clutch will need replacing when I get more power, but I think and hope everything else will hold up fine, it's all on how you drive. I never launch and I never downshift hard(i.e 6th to 3rd) If I plan to run someone I ease into the optimum gear and go.
Still good to see it's help up over that many miles. I'd love a SOS setup but they are pricey and a rarity to find used. I've seen some Vortech and Comptech setups pop up for reasonable prices so if I do decide to go SC I might end up looking at one of them.
