Just came across this for the b-series gearbox. I was wondering if anyone tried this on our gearbox? Maybe just for drag/road racing because you lose 6th but I hope it will hold better.

They work well at what they are designed to do. It does eliminate 5th gear on the B-series, but for drag racing fwd you never shift into 5th if your gearing/tire size is correct. Every single dog box manufacturer includes this piece as part of their gear set. These eliminated the case cracking, but then you get to the point where you start cracking the bellhousing....which then you buy a 1500 billet bellhousing to solve that issue.

 

i know a few s2000 guys have tried racerstevs heat treated gears but i have not heard any feedback. k series guys have had great success with it.

 

@nwdyno you know anyone who tried something on the s2000 gearbox?
