The VTC also allows us to develop a much broader power band. Here is an F22 with 3" exhaust, stock header, and intake tuned on Kpro vs the stock k24 with the same 3" exhaust, modified stock sk2 header, and intake along with a stock f20 intake manifold and TB tuned on Kpro

This next dyno sheet shows the gains from skunk2 s2 cams and skunk2 74mm TB. Same modified stock header, 3" exhaust, and intake as before. We tried many different cam angles to fix the small dip at 6200rpm but I think it was from the stock s2k intake manifold and modified stock header. A better header would have pushed it will over 250hp but we knew we were going to be building a turbo kit soon.

Lastly this is the dyno sheet after we built the turbo kit with a 6265, id2000 injectors, fB340 pump, and e85. Same engine combo with 100% stock K24a2 bottom. It would have made power even higher in the RPMs but we were at the limit of the oil pump. On the F series engines we have to run 15psi on a 6265 to hit 500hp but with this engine it only took 13psi to hit 510hp with TQ the Fs can only dream about.

Not only do the Ks make more power easier, they also have far more parts available, and with normal sleeves you can drop in different pistons combos without having to sleeve the block. The K engines are also much cheaper than the F series too

So, I want an all motor k-24 that revs to 9k, I've heard over 8k rpm is expensive On a k series

All the K24 needs to make peak power at the same RPM as an F series is cams and a TypeS oil pump. And the K24 will have a much broader powerband. Even a 2.7L K with a 106mm stroke will make power close to 10,000rpm and as S2-kai stated it will have a better rod to stroke ratio doing it do to the taller deck height of the K24 block. And to be clear I am not here to bash the F as we work on both. The F and K are both great engines, just trying to show that there are different options out there. The owner of this cars son miss shifted the original F20 and dropped a valve and we were able to get the k24 and the parts to do the swap for the price of another F20

Care to share any details on what a swap like this entails?
