I think some people notice small power increases more readily than others, so the truth of the statement depends on who's talking. There is a noticable difference in power between 4k and 6k, but not everyone notices.

If you've already using all the available traction when VTEC engages mid corner then you're going to have issues even without boost. Boost can only make it worse. Lag (with a large turbo) can further complicate the situation.

I have yet to install my S/C but your comments are making it unbearable....wow that fast eh?

Have you driven the 996 GT3? I was going to ask you how that compared to this car since the GT3 only has like 380 hp but man it pulls like no tomorrow after 5k (feels like 500 hp in the new m5)

I wanna ride....hehe

I luv it!! buttttttttt Car has a cel and is in the shop since yesterday due to a new comptech SC design for better cooling on the air or water pump, more power on new design is making the cel go on. Guess they didnt do good testing with thew new design. I'll find out this evening if its fixed.....I miss her!!

the CEL is gone! SC played with it all afternoon..........I mena I hit 95-100 so many times without knowing it Just watching the boost gauge go up to 5.5 and then its lik eoh shit!!! I mean at 6k you can FEEEL it real good. oh baby! :lo: So much more power than na whoa............whoa.......Again best mod ever!

Take a look at where the power starts to really increase at. At 6000 rpm you are already making 200whp. After that the gains come very quickly. This was with comptech s/c and mugen exhust. Nothing more.

S/C is linear to gas pedal but YES-it will scream and pull even harder in VTEC.
Aaaahhh-good memories...S/Ced B16 and turbod B20...such a happy place-
