Default SC belt change interval

How many miles are you guys putting on SC belts before changing them? My car has a Vortech with a stock pulley if it matters.

I searched the forum and the Vortech manuals and didn't find any info on how long the belt should last.

Keep an extra one in the trunk. When the one you are running breaks, its time to change it.

Orly?

I'd rather change it early and avoid belt shrapnel flying around the engine bay.

Just follow standard belt inspection.

Look for fraying around the edges, worn areas, and shinny spots.

Ok, change it monthly. You never know when it will spontaneously fail and can never be too careful.

I feel this is the best advice. If you see rubber particles near the belt area you will then be able to tell that you are slipping your belt. Any sign of normal belt wear, or slippage and I would replace it.

You be the judge. Otherwise snap a photo and post it so I can see what it looks like

Keep a spare, AND change it every 30K miles.
