Is that how the water pump actually mounts? I'd be scared to crush it of I hit a curb or a big pot hole

yup, that's exactly how it mounts.

There's not much wiggle room either, as it's bolted directly to the air pump bracket.

06-08 has no air pump, and the pump mounts vertically and there's way more room.

I would also put the serpentine belt back on before you mount the supercharger.
Congrats on your install! You're not kidding about that oil drain seal. I left that blue cover on it and then had to try to cut it off after installing the SC... Musta taken half an hour with shears and razors. Couldn't get a hand or wrench on it to pull it off.

For the belt, I've found I can get it about halfway on (admittedly a smaller pulley) and then with the transmission in neutral, just turn the pulleys (engine will freewheel) and roll it up onto the pulley.

Worst thing I did was snap the brass drain plug for the SC. It's really easy to do without applying much torque at all. Be gentle with that sucker.

I actually found installing the drain pretty simple with S/C bolted up, 1/4 drive ratchet with a deep 7mm socket was able to get it from the side, this was with the after-cooler off though. I spent an hour getting it just perfect so it wouldn't rub anything, but I did to the front of the pan. Also had to bend the top of the cross beam so the hose wouldn't rub where it comes off the S/C. Of course I realized I had to do this after it was all bolted into place lol

Thanks, I'm having a few issues with the AFR spiking up as it passes 7K RPM, though. I really think it's the injectors as I didn't have them cleaned/flow tested, and I was hoping you could weigh in...

Still, I have 240whp by 7100RPM even with it leaning out...on a Mustang (never measured higher). On that blue seal...I just hacked at it with a pocket knife on the side from the ground under the car until it just fell off in a few pieces

Hey All,

Anyone have part number for the (4) Flange Hex bolts that hold the main Supercharger plate bracket to the motor? I believe its listed as "Flange Hex 10x55" bolts (they are the four bolts that go through the snubbing washers and rubber isolators.

If I wasn't mistaken I remember them being Genuine Honda bolts. I recently had to remove the assembly for some maintenance and somehow lost one of the bolts.

If anyone can post the part # for that bolt I'd greatly appreciate it!

The other 'mod' I will be doing is to run the water pump power to a relay, getting power off the battery directly and triggered off one of the factory relays. I have my PLX gauges and my V1 hardwired to the ignition power lead off the fuse panel by the pedals, so I don't want to add more burden to it. I followed the advice off another post and am basically just wiring up the water pump like Vortech directs in their kit. You can find their install guide in PDF on their website.

I started last weekend (long weekend for us) and spent Saturday and Monday afternoon on it. Sunday afternoon was spent struggling with the updated oil banjo bolt install. By Monday evening my buddy and I were probably about 90% done, so we're going to finish this coming weekend - right now just some wiring to tidy up, and the water pump hoses to the IC need a bit of trimming too, too close to the pulleys.
That's exactly what I did on the original install. I was a little worried on the draw with all the 12v accessories that was already sucking up power under the dash. I just figured that the water pump should have a dedicated power draw with a relay switch, on top of the fact I ran out of places to tap into! I asked about it and covered it here:
