jv - no the spacers are not needed. The instructions you rec'v had not be revised as we are always updating, when we find things to change. The spacers are not needed.

As far as fuel consumption, its all in your right foot. We have seen cars gain in MPG's. If you havn't already get your car on the dyno and monitor the air fuels. Also make sure plugs and injectors are up to date.

The 6 hex bolts for the volute...2 are at the bottom and I couldn't reach them. I will have to jack up the car and do them from there. It's for clocking the blower outlet, btw. They don't need much torque at all.

Does anyone know what the exact size of those 6 Hex bolts? One of mine came loose and disappeared causing oil to gush out - luckily I stopped the car ASAP.

I need to find a replacement bolt to plug up the hole and use thread lock this time around!

Sorry, I don't recall what they were... But you can pull one of the remaining bolts and take it to Lowe's to find a replacement. That's what I did when I snapped the head off one of the brass plugs.

I'm more than a bit surprised that this is happening. Hope you can figure it out...
