SCRAMBLE BOOST BUTTON IN S2K?
I just bout the AEM TRU BOOST to match my uego and 1042u. im getting ready to install the boost controller and i want to use the scramble boost button setup. but my only problem is that i dont know where i want to put the button. does anyone have this setup in their car?
do you mean the 1052U? i would ditch the gauge as a boost controller, and use it just as a gauge. Take the boost solenoid, and wire it into the AEM EMS and use that to control boost. thats exactly what i did. i have the tru boost gauge as just a gauge inside the car.
I'm interested in the answer to that too.
Way I see it the TruBoost gives much greater control than the built-in boost control functionality of the AEM EMS.
And ap1, to answer your question, I recommend a big red button in the middle of the dash with a flip cover like the pickle switch on a fighter plane.

My solution is the cruise control button. Here in Europe we do not have cruise control. I bought a steering wheel from USA with the cruise control buttons on it and i connected the Boost controler with one of those buttons. Expensive mode but you can press the boost control button without distract your attention from the road.
Actually, getting serious for a second, I want to use one of the cutouts on the dash cluster behind (or in front) of the steering wheel. I have two switches that go in these spots (rear demister and cruise control) but haven't wired them up yet.

because with the AEM you can set up traction control, boost by gear/speed etc

The Truboost has A, B and Scramble settings only and there is no feedback.
