Seen recent blown engines up in this site
I would hate to blow something up right after I installed the turbo. Havent taken it to the dyno yet since I wanted to change out the retainers first. Should I change out my spring on my turbosmart wastegate to lets say 8psi instead of 10.5? Does it make that big of a difference on the car.
Also, does the type of turbo make a difference in regards to straining the engine. Like a gt30 at 10psi vs at gt35 at 10 psi would net the bigger turbo more HP since it has more CFM. Does that cause more strain?
Thanks in advance,

It's all in the tune. Log manifolds put more strain on the tune because of exhaust reversion and the pressure is so high to make power.
Lots of guys run 14+psi with no issues. I run about 10-11 in the summer and 13-14 in the winter on 91 with no issues. I do put 93 in when available for safety sake

I am tuned to a point. Havent been on the dyno but the tuner drove with me twice. (Around 2-3 hours total) tunning the car. WE did like 4 runs on the street as he tuned. I'm going to go to the dyno once i change out the retainers.
