Default set timing in aem ems

okay, this may be a stupid question but I can not find the answer anywere. I need to figure out how to set the timing on my aem ems. I know how to change the values with the ecu. my timing light is a inductive timing light your supposed to hook neg. to neg. and pos. to pos. The 3rd thing your supposed to hook around your spark plug wire. What do we use to hook it onto? Do we take out or coil pack, or just hook it on the wires going to the coil?

hook it on the wire going to the coil. You may be better off driving to the tuner and having them do it.

be very careful in adjusting the timing. You can throw off the ign sych very easily if you're not careful.

Good luck

My light is supposed to wrap around a high tension lead. But we have coil on plug.

What I do is remove the coil and fit a high tension lead between the coil and plug and wrap the induction lead around the high tension lead.
