i use a garrett t3 60-1 journal.
at first i didnt used a restrictor but the car was smoking bad under wot.
then i put a restrictor on it , size 1-1.5 millimeter , bigger then the gt series restrictor.
it helped a lot but still smoke very little under wot.
i think that the oil is not so good also (10w30) so i got some motul 300v 15w50 and im going to try it and see.
and im also need to check the oil drain to my pan and see maybe thats my problem.
what u did with your turbo ? fixed it??

I thought it was common practice to use a restrictor with any turbo.

yes but the thing is that in our engine the the oil pressure is higher then other motors.
i will do the oil change and see if it helps.

I have been mentioning this in various thread, I really think you need one cause the oil pressure is so high and I think you can blow the seals on the turbo even at start up with out the correct one.
