im going to try and use

10w40

right now im running 10w30.. honda brand from the dealer.

if that doesnt work im going to get a oil restrictor...

*note I do have a 90degree from line too oil pan fitting.. i read somewhere that thats a NO NO.
I dont see how else you would attatch it unless you have a 90* bend right there. I love the topmount mani's simply because oil drain is not an issue for me at all.

it never was the oil drain, it was a bad turbo seal from the beginning.

its entirely possible that your flawed oil return line actually caused your seal in the turbo to blow out. Once the line backed up a bit due to the dip right before the pan (BIG no no) you ended up putting pressure in that line where there normally is none. This in turn causes you to start pushing oil past the seals in the turbo. If let go long enough it can eventually just wreck the seals to the point that once the line is corrected its still too late.

Or it might have been a bad turbo from the get go.

with 50miles or less, even if my drain wasnt perfectly in a downward motion, there is no way enough oil would fill that whole line to cause that much smoke.... LET alone break the seal. I would think it would take alot more smoke and driving with a messed up oil drain line to ruin the turbo.
