SoS & Greddy Owners - Opinions needed
Alright guys, my FI dreams should become a reality within the next month. Before you flame, I've done my FI homework, researching all the kits & posts.
I have narrowed my options down to the Science of Speed SC and Greddy turbo kits.
My build plan: I live in GA which is an OBDII state, so the AEM 1052 is NOT an option. I'm also not going to spring for the kpro at this point as I've agreed to keep the cost around 6k, so the options are piggybacks, EMU probably being best.
Note: I will be running stock internals with AP2 retainers/banjo bolts & factory HG.
I think these two kits best suit my initial goal of 300 whp and can easily support my max goal of 350 whp. I like the option of increasing boost via controller on the Greddy kit. The SOS kit requires the KPro and $2k more to bump power, but the bump is HUGE.
All this being said, I'm torn in deciding which way to go. I'd like to hear the pros and cons from anyone who owns these kits and whether they'd do anything differently. Opinions from stage 2 SoS users would be greatly appreciated.
Please avoid turning this into a "buy the ILP kit" thread. After fuel/engine management expenses the kit isn't worth it to me for my power goal. I just want a bump in power to make this thing more fun to drive and am not interested in more than 350 whp.
Thanks!

Id go with the sos kit . The greddy kit is good but is already close to being maxed out . The sos kit has alot of room to grow . Make no mistake about it you WILL want more power down the road , trust me boost is addictive !
i'm a greddy owner, very pleased with my setup.
i'm now the 2nd highest , used to be the first #.. but again if u throw me on a dynapack.. i produced 365 hp..
my numbers are 330/230 on dynomite (reads like a mustang, and mustang is lower than dynojet)
it really depends if you want the immediately torque feel or not, think of vtec opens 3000 and all the way to redline.

He doesn't have to use a Kpro with the SOS, and the power output of the SOS on a 2000 without aftermarket management won't overpower his stock clutch.
Plenty of people run 320whp on the stock clutch, as long as you aren't a clutch dropper/drag racer it'll hold up fine.
If he wants to use their high boost kit, than ya he'll need to look into a bit more hardware to make it work.
He said UP to 350, not that had to be 350
. He can add on later as money allows if he wants to go that route.
I'd get the SOS, it'll grow as much as your wallet can handle.. You won't get that out of the greddy kit.
I will say though you can get a used greddy kit for CHEAP and spend 3000 instead of 5-6k. I think JoeyBalls still has his kit for sale.

SOS would be better for your goals but I doubt it will fit the budget.
You are looking at around $8k with the KPro and clutch.

SoS Stage 1 kit w/AC: $5k+shipping
Competition Clutch w/AP1 Flywheel: $600,
16 Retainers/32 Keepers: >$100
4 Banjo Bolts: $40ish, but purchased months ago.
2-3 dyno pulls to check A/Fs: $75
I'll be damned if I'll pay someone to work on a car for me, so the clutch, retainers, VA, banjo bolts, and FI installation will be DIY.
Update: Just went ahead and purchased AP2 retainers and keepers from Majestic Honda. Total cost was $104 and some change.

The power curves of the two kits are completely different! I'd first decide which you like better.
That being said, Greddy will not get you to 350whp. However, the SOS kit will never give you 215-250 ft lbs of torque at 4000 rpm
