Lots of great upgrades. I totally agree with your mods from the Puddy to the intake to BOV. Thanks for the ideas and the execution. But now I have buy a oil pan and a diff!

For future reference and an update to this post, see https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/971...-1200-results/

Added a wastegate to effectively use a smaller pulley while keeping boost levels up top reasonable.

so did you end up swapping it to a 2-3 psi spring? thats what im on, and im not sure if its working right since i can barely hear it.

i was thinking maybe i needed a heavier spring. i pull about .6-.8 bar at idle

Yes, using a 2 PSI spring for the BOV. You should see the BOV wide open at idle. It's also open on part throttle.

I'm missing something? maybe this is a novice question

What are you running a 2.8" and blow off the boost? what not a 3.2, 3.6, 3.8???
BOV before and after cooler box?
How is the textured 2.8 doing? is it eating your belt?

Because I want more area under the curve and not targeting MAX HP at peak RPM. With a smaller pulley, you'll get a TON of midrange power with the benefit of bleeding off excess boost at the top using the wastegate.

The BOV is before the aftercooler

As for the textured 2.8" pulley, don't buy it. It eats up your belts within 5 laps on the track. I threw mine away, total waste of money.

99SH I have been following your other thread on the BOV. YOu claimed success and were going to dyno it, did ya ever get done? Would love to see what the curve looks like. So what size pulley did you go to?

I think you meant to say Wastegate not BOV. Yes I did have success controlling boost with the Tial MVR. The boost curve is now flat after I hit my target boost levels and no longer drops down. The threads below have all the dyno and info as things progressed.
