Default SOS install pics

Just got done installing the SOS kit. Project took almost a month, due to parts shipping in/out but finally done. Here are some pics along the way. Enjoy!
ID1000 injectors

Obligatory Puddymod Stage 2 diff to put up with the extra whp.

I'm glad I had rebuild the diff. The bearings were falling apart!

Before I installed the SOS kit, I had upgraded a few items. Mainly for increased reliability @ the track.
First thing to go was the Bosch diverter valve.

Replaced with Tial Q BOV. Tial claims a 50.5mm valve, but thats the outside diameter of the flange.

Next item to replace was the rubber drain hose for the Paxton 1200. Installed a 3/8" NPT fitting to use with a braided hose.

Modified aftercooler with Tial V-band flange:

More of this later. Switch for oil cooler fan & heat exchanger water pump.

I didnt like how SOS plubs the drain hose to the oil drain plug. This makes oil changes more complicated, having to remove the AN fittings for a simply oil change. I'm not sure how well the fittings will last with repeated install/removals. With this, I purchased a Blacktrax oil drain pan with a AN bung welded above the baffle. This will improve drain as it's not pushing against any stangnant oil. Bung on bottom is for oil temp sender.

When I was NA, my oil temps were hoving around 240-250F. I purchased a larger Setrab cooler, but it didnt help efficiency too much. In an effort to reduce temps more, I purchased a 7.5" SPAL fan. Fits the cooler almost perfect and blows a good amount of air.

Installed using center beam for support.

Now for some final install pics. Here's the BOV in action:

Notice the drain is touching the center beam. Had to remove the blower and pound the frame a bit:

Picture of the drain going to the oil pan.

Upgraded heat exchanger installed in front of the oil cooler:

Oil cooler now sits between heat exhanger and AC condensor. Neatly tucked

My soution to cold air intake: use a 3.5" silicone duct. Makes fabrication and routing much easier!

With the coil air setup, I had to purchase a low profile SPAL fan:

Some interior shots, after completing wiring:

MAP sensor for Boost gauge. Bracket mounted on strut bar.

That's all for now. I'll be heading over to Driving Ambition in 2 weeks for a Flashpro tune. I can't wait to see how this works out on the track!

Nice setup & nice improvements. Well done!

I didn't know I could just buy an oil pan with welded bungs from Blacktrax. Adding that to my list...
