Default SOS Stage 2 SC

I'm on the fence about purchasing a kit, I've been bouncing back and forth for about 6 months now. I don't know really anything about the kits except for how FI works and that it'll give me more power. Currently have an Invidia test pipe + HKS single exhaust, AEM V2 CAI. I set a budget of around $6,000 and found the SOS Stage 2 supercharger kit + engine management + fuel system for $6750 shipped. Pic included. Looking for advice (where to shave a few dollars//different engine management system maybe) and what cost to expect BEYOND this initial purchase. Located in Las Vegas. Thanks

A safe budget for supercharging with all new parts and doing the labor yourself would be $10k. You might be able to save a couple thousand buying everything used and the used part would be your only compromise. You also need an upgraded clutch kit, and that's easily another $1k with labor if you don't feel comfortable doing that yourself. There are other things to account for such as runs to the hardware/autoparts store for tools and misc stuff, then the dyno tune after everything is installed.

dont forget to include, installation cost if not wrenching yourself, clutch/Flywheel upgrade, some gauges (afr at minimum), tuning time, misc. $ for the just in case issues. Those are the ones off the top of my head... if your budget is $6000, id look for a used kit or maybe save a little more. Good luck. Im assuming this is for an AP1 based on your pic on profile. the posted image doesnt show up on my computer at work.

Doesn't the standard Stage 2 already come with fueling parts? I'd hold off on the 425BHP injector/pump upgrade and budget clutch work instead. Also, consider having SOS do all the work since you're only about 6 hours away.

Buy a second hand SOS stage 2 mate with bigger injectors, fuel pump etc...as you will need that extra $$$ for installation, tuning and clutch.

Then start saving because you will blow your diff within a year.

That sounds like a much better option.

Then take it easy with the diff, launching etc...
