Still driving the lotus ?!
Doing well. Thanks! Still enjoying the Lotus. Planning to K swap it shortly (also picking up another S2000)

Are you looking for a bolt on solution? Do you mind relocating parts? I'm sure you'd tire of 400rwhp quickly lol

I vote Ptuning kit again
No turbo kit is perfect. First of all the ptuning kit is not in production any more. They have moved on to other cars and stopped making the s2000 kit.

Even the ptuning kit is great the worst thing about that kit in my opinion is their motor mount design. The lost in drivability due to the loud cabin and vibration because of the motor mount sucks.
I just bought my PTUNING kit last month, and I got it last week. The kit is definitely still in production, but there won't be another run of parts for the kit made till June at the earliest.

They offer 4 different durometer motor mount inserts for the kit now and are recommending the softest which is what I got even though my car is a street/time attack car. I will definitely post my opinions of the vibration and increase in NVH once the kit is installed.

my brother has the ptuning kit and put the softest(yellow) mount on with the kit and it is a lot better than the other harder durometer mounts but its still pretty bad in our opinion.

I believe the issue is the manifold. Check out the build threads on the forced induction stickies. A couple people have the kit. Some happy, some not. Seems the kit dies off at redline which sucks. But if you ok with oem fitment n great drivability at the expense of top end power, the kit is great from what I read. I really wanted the kit as well. But with the Kraftwerks sc kit easily putting down 400+ out the box, it's hard to not Consider it. Especially at the price difference.

But like you, I'd love some more info about SOS turbo kit as well as street driving impressions or videos.

Right on. I've driven a couple of supercharged S2000's and to me personally, I didn't quite "feel" the speed. I knew we were going faster for sure. But it was on an old comptech supercharger kit. I have no clue how these new ones are doing. Like the SOS or Kraftwerks. Could you elaborate a little bit on that?
I haven't been in an S2000 with the NEW KW kit...hopefully soon. but everyone loves the linear power and claims it feels like a SUPER VTEC. Also, no headaches of heat issues from the Turbo set up. If done correctly im sure Turbo could be just as reliable as the SC, but you gotta pay to play. Read some of the builds from the KW kit and see how the people love em. Ive seen 400 whp to 462whp depending on mods and if running higher octane with the -81 blower. there was a group buy and at the price it was almost a no brainer, and of course I missed out on it. Hopefully they do another one since it sold so well. As far as the SOS turbo kit, im sure if I drove in one id be on the fence of which way to go. Just something about the spool up of a turbo that's so intoxicating. And with the Turbo kit, the room for to go higher and higher with numbers is much better and easier than the SC kit. But this is just my thoughts... I wish SOS would run a group buy on their kit. That would be awesome!

IF you get that ride, i would love to hear about it!

Thanks for the info. I've been a turbo guy and was curious about the kraftwerks.

I agree with this guy. At the end of my research the SoS and the PTUNING kit came to the top. I selected the better manifold and exhaust housing of the PUTUNING kit in the end.

I tell ya. I loved everything about the Ptuning kit.

That's the planned route.

OH man look that! love those cars!!! i need a ride! lol

I would definitely feel i would tire of the 400whp fairly quickly.

I did poke around at some other kits like the full race? or was it full blown. Can't remember which one was the one that i think was the most bolt on without moving things around?

Anyhoo. You know how you don't drive the s2000 for awhile, and when you do, it's fun and fast then gets slow when you get used to it, and you repeat? lol. well, i don't drive the s2000 but maybe one weekened or something. Which brought me to think about the SOS kit, if the Ptuning kit didn't make anymore kits.

According to Mike, they need to concentrate on other kits but will touch on them later. but I think they sold the last one last month or something.

Mind you guys, *minus the ones that already knew* I Was the one that Ptuning sponsored when they first built the kit. The kit was on built on my first s2000. The feeling was like a v8 under the hood. practically no lag. full power to redline. Love that power.

I've seen a dyno sheet, the type slips my mind. but it made like 426whp on an ap2. the power definitely came on a lot better than the SOS supercharger kit.

I"ve been out of the loop so i'm trying to catch up lol

Thanks Allan. Just let me know; you can take it for a spin Both Full Blown and Full-Race make awesome kits. Full Blown did recently produce a kit that doesn't require any relocation. Going to go with another 30r regardless of the kit?

What about Pfab!! My Pfab ELT manifold paired with my SOS v-mount makes great power, and on low boost it makes a great road track car. On our small go cart track my water temps never go above 182*F and my oil never go above 201*F for 15min of straight lapping.

I make about 400whp on low boost, and it feels quick, but not as quick as my high boost.

ah! so it was full blown that created that kit!

I REALLY love the characteristics of the GTX3076R turbo. I don't know how that would respond on that side winder looking kit, but I'm hoping the smaller turbo would still give good spool time.
