SOS Turbo kit
I really like the design of the SOS kit but you're gonna have a struggle for 400hp and once that gets boring and you want more. You're only option will be race gas/e85. I have the Ptuning kit with the yellow mount. I can tell there are some added vibration but nothing absolutely unbearable. As for the rest of the kit, I chose the GTX3076 and I absolute love it. Car feels great and pulls strong. I just recently did a 1700 plus mile road trip without a single issue. Was accompanied by another Ptuning s2000 who also experienced zero issue.
I was looking to get the SOS turbo kit with v-mount option a while back. I'm not up to speed on customer dyno sheets, but there are dyno plots on the SOS site. The less than 400hp turbo dyno is on 91 octane. I assume that the fuel is the limitation there. There is a dyno plot for the kit breaking 500hp (dynapack though) on e85 with a GT3582. Unless it's for forum bragging, I would be happy with that for the street and canyon carving.
That said, the SOS kit is a good kit. No fuss installing, plenty of room for a v-mount if you want one, and makes the right power for street setup.
Interesting! I need to study the borg turbos.
I noticed that soulicious said the 400 was on 91. Curious what it could do on 93 at 15psi. i have a 70mm berk Hi flow cat and 70mm invidia q300. When i went turbo my first two times, inhad this exhaust and it made deceNt power. Then on my old ptuning kit, I had their 3 inch single.

im curious as far as how the car drives and feels between say a 370-380 whp SOS turbo kitted S vs. a 400-420whp KW sc kit. Other than low end torque on the turbo, wonder which would be faster on street driving. Is it just a matter of whp vs. whp?
In response to the OP, I think the SOS kit was designed as a track kit first. The internally gated turbo hurts power (ultimately flow) but makes for a simpler/cleaner setup. Not having a giant manifold under the hood also makes less of a heatsink under the hood. I do think their choice/decision to use a twinscroll/divided t3 turbine housing chokes the top end, but supposedly the boost response is very good. I haven't seen a kit firsthand. On track maybe this matters more, on the street it doesn't matter at all.
Ultimately you can't go wrong with either kit. It really just depends on what your goals are. If you're used to making 450+ on pump, it sounds like you'd be disappointed w/ the SOS kit.

I think this is what ultimately leads me to keep wanting the turbo. I'm not trying to race anyone. I just wanna feel my money if that makes sense.
Isn't the prostreet the one that requires the relocation of the battery and fuse box?
