Maybe a dumb question but why can't SOS use a single scroll manifold and forget this twin scroll nonsense? Maybe people would buy their kit! The kit itself looks great aside from this major problem with its overall performance. Let's face it, no one is beating down the door due to the issue of power flatlining after 7k.

if they were to do a group buy i bet more people would buy it...i know i would... but nearly $2000 more than a supercharger kit that can get you at same whp or higher...its a tough decision...
While a centrifugal supercharger kit will have the same peak hp number, this turbo kit will have way way more mid-range torque and power. There was the one guy who dyno'd his car with this kit and with a blower. The blower made more power over the last 500rpm, but that's it. The turbo destroyed it everywhere below. Especially in the 4-6krpm range where you do a lot of your track and street driving.

This would be true with any turbo system. They all make more power under the curve. Why choke the power band after 7k with this restrictive turbo setup when this engine is meant to breath well all the way to redline. Most people enjoy revving the motor out to redline at the track and on the street. I know I would not be happy with it that way no matter if it spooled 500rpm quicker.

If this kit made power all the way to redline they would have sold a lot more systems no question.

unless you're dragracing, you can't really feel the flat line

Rainhater said he could feel it and I know a guy in Kansas who has driven one and said the pull from 7k up is noticeable. Not necessarily drag racing either. Not here to argue at all but it's a known problem with this kit. I had a Ptuning kit and it pulled like a raped ape all the way to redline.

If they could turn that manifold into a single scroll it would likely perform better. I may have purchased this over the tts rotrex I have now

I haven't felt it I wish I had dyno data as well, but you guys will have to wait till fall.

I wonder if the devided housing can be machined, or ported?

If you went to a single scroll setup, you'd lose the spool-up and transient response advantage of the divided. So, it's a matter of what's your priority.

The only thing i dont get is SOS doesnt have but 2 to 3 dynos of these kits... one with the 3076 on pump and then the 3582 on E85. I would expect them to have more than that on their kits... at least a pump gas dyno of the 3582 upgrage since they say its def. worth the upgrade.

I've heard that people that went with the GT3582 didn't have the issue any longer with it dropping off at 7k rpms.

SOS said they sell a lot of kits. But nobody seems to be showing their kit here on S2ki.

Not many YouTube videos either. I only see a few videos of the SOS turbo kit, but that's from the same user. I think that I'll be sticking with my SOS S/C kit unless there are some results or turbo kit updates.
