Looking good man. I take it you drove it back from Mase a few hours with no issues? Are you not going to wrap that black rubber hose that is past the heat shield?
Yeah this was the hose I was referring to when I asked earlier in the thread. I called it the a/c line but was wrong. It looks to come within a couple of inches of the downpipe.

Sorry to repeat this question- but they way the turbo sits out in the front, there is no bracket/bracing at all? It just seems like a lot of weight between the turbo and downpipe to be hanging off the manifold out that far. I am not trying to rip on the kit, just curious whether this would contribute to the manifold cracking over time.

I thought for sure I answered these questions a few questions back but I don't mind addressing them again just in case.

- The drive back from J-Ville had no issues cruising @ a flat 15 AFR. I'd say it got good gas mileage, but coming through Orlando @ 2AM I ran into a bike that wanted to play....

- I've been keeping an eye on that hose and I've left it unwrapped just to see what happens. Hasn't shown any hints of melting. I will continue to monitor it but after 4 days of DD the car to work and sitting through hours of bumper to bumper traffic, I figure if it hasn't melted by now, it wont.

- The turbo is not braced to the crossmember and is held in place by its connection to the manifold. Obviously, I can't speak on its longevity to cracking having only had the car a week. For that you'd need to talk to 'Phils2k' on here. He's had the kit since last year. To my knowledge, he hasn't had any issues with his.

Thanks Darius,

I am getting the same kit as well. Reading stories like one member where he sold his car with turbo and guy has car burst into flames after a few hours makes you think twice about any setup. Glad to here you have had no issues. The manifold design with the heat shield and turbo in front of the motor is what sold me on this kit...and Mases reputation as well. That manifold is made from strong steel. Spoke with Mase about bracing also. He feels it is not necessary and there is a RHD s2000 been running around the UK at 600whp with no issues like you mentioned.

Your car sounded the business yesterday... It really does sound like a flat four.

p.s. watch your keys next time, that girl is sneaky.
