Let's put it like this: since third gear is very sketchy right now I found myself shifting from second to 5th by accident a few times yesterday and the car didn't bog. It was actually pretty shocking lol. But the urgency from the car with the 4.10 is gone when you're engaging in any spirited stoplight escapades. Its the very definition of give and take.
My thoughts exactly.
I've put a stock diff back in for the time being and the switch back to a 4.10 feels much better. It brought the car back to life, imo. The 3.90 was great for hwy cruising, but the car just doesn't respond with a 3.9 as it does with the 4.10. Definitely lacks the "get up and go" at any given speed/gear.

I still have my stage 2 puddy 3.90 sitting in my garage, ready to be sent off to have Ben swap back to a 4.10. I just haven't gotten to it yet due to other things popping up and taking my money.

As much as I want to track with the 4.10 and get a solid answer as to which gear helps more in the 1/4 mile, this rear I bought has over 110k miles on it and has a clunking noise when reversing and a "womping" noise on decel. So its probably on its last leg.
Regardless which one helps more on the 1/4, I drive my car more on the street (daily) and would rather have a gear I enjoy more than a gear that shaves off a tenth or two on paper.

Sucks to hear about the problems you are constantly having. After having my mani/dp/turbo braced by Mase, I haven't had any issues so far. Except for today, finding that my 90* coupler off the turbo now has a hole through it..
Hope your luck with this setup turns around for you!

Good read. I wonder if Mase has taken this stuff into consideration and has tried to fix anything? Way to stick with it. My problem going through all of this is I'm in south Dakota. Not much out here to help me out.

Keep your head up bro! These things happen to the best of us. You're on the right track to getting all these things sorted so it's only a matter of time.
