Default spool time?

hello turbo heads!

Quick question. If I go for a 2mm or 3mm head gasket, will the spool time/ rpm drop seine you are losing cylinder volume?

thanks

maybe a couple hundred rpm or so, but not too much. Really power off boost is most effected but since a turbo adds power all over the powerband you wouldnt really notice it too much i wouldnt think.

Your gaining cylinder volume. It is the increase in volume versus swept volume that gives you a reduction in compression.

sorry, our right, i am a dumb ass

i will gain cyclinder volume, but lose Compression...... thus spool time will decrease," take longer to spool up" more rpm to reach boost peek?

i am starting to do dexterity and what more torque. i am getting a lovefab mini me kit for cody, and using a gt3071r turbo with a 4.56 rick diff.

so, would i need more rpm to reach bost?

thanks for the input, trying to learn!

here is a flick of my last dexterity...

Spool won't change.

You will make less power before the turbo comes on boost. If you don't increase boost, you will also make less power once the turbo spools up.

The big difference is that you can run higher pressure ratios (and make more power).

DAMN! With a 2 or 3 inch gasket you can boost the crap out of it. Deciding between a 2 or 3mm should come down to what your goals are power wise. What #'s are you trying to hit?

Gaining combustion chamber volume, not cylinder volume.

hondabim, go 3mm and boost the crap out of it. Give's more of a safety margin as well.
