I havent done any kind of upgrade to the ems.

When it does sit a while, when i hit the throttle a little bit it helps it start, so it might be just the tune.

most of your grounds are gonna be by each headlight under the hood. you will see like a octopus of black ground wires

I have this same exact issue, I have to let the car run when I get gas otherwise it gets me nervous to try to restart it. Anyone figure this issue out yet?

If your car starts when it is cold then it's unlikely that you have a physical issue (sensors, grounds etc etc). It's likely to be your Fuel enrichment table in the Start setting. Too much or little fuel will cause starting issue. You will need to add or subtract fuel.

Does your sync status goes to ON after a few cranks?
Do you have a wideband?
Does opening the throttle help with the warm start?

your problem lies in the cranking parameters.
