Thumbs down Steed Speed manifold: the saga

Apologies for hijacking that other thread. Here's our own for this steed speed manifold that nobody seems to be able to find any info on. I checked ALL of the retailers listed on www.steedspeed.com and none of them list this manifold or a price.

I ended up calling horsepowerfreaks.com (they are the closest to my area) and they were stumped as to why they were listed as a vendor. Their guess was that they likely just got started. HPfreaks didn't have a price.

The good news is that they are going to do some research and then he said with enough interest they would host a group buy on the product. So I'll make sure to post what information I receive. They plan to give me a call back.

I have to say this product looks like the answer to my no cracking prayers and while it may not flow as well as a tubular manifold, I'll atleast be able to hold more boost without destroying my welds. I don't think a forged chunk of metal is going to be cheap though. We'll see what we get.

Just so you know, SteedSpeed is working with HorsePowerFreaks on developing a manifold for one of their upcoming turbo kits (BMW). Indeed, they've only recently been setup as a dealer.

So what makes this design superior -in terms of flow- to the other log style manifolds out there?

HP freaks came back with $675 per for them, however, he did tell me that they are setting up a Group Buy for s2ki.com ASAP. So the GB price is still up in the air. Stay tuned guys. I'm really excited for this product and can't wait to get my paws on one.

And ya the reference to the E46 manifold was correct.

I want to know about the flowchart someone said they were going to do and if this will flow better than inlinepro's log-style manifold.

^^^
slimjim8201 mentioned he would try to get it done, I'd be interested to see if it is better than inlinepro's, I suspect it is, but that's just speculation
