I have an AEM cai right now. And that's all the sound I'll ever want....

With the comptech supercharger I'm going to lose that aren't I?
But it will be replaced with that lovely supercharger whine. It is unmistakable when you pull into a parking lot for a meet.

still on my stock setup which sounds pretty good for me, as when I put on the 3 inch exhaust god was it ear deafening so I put the stock back on....going to keep it that way for a while....

I did the exact same thing. I had the Ultimate Racing 3" single and it was just loud and droney at low rpm's. Went back to the stock exhaust with test pipe, felt very little if any loss of power. It actually seemed to gained some low end.

The Comptech gears rattle, but I think XViper has a Vortech, and they use a belt rather than gears. I'm not certain, but I don't think his SC rattles the way a Comptech does.

XV, isn't your Vortech rattle-free?

At idle my SC sounds like a concrete mixer churning a load of gravel. Just above idle it changes to a whistle. Gearheads notice and smile or comment.

AEM V1 sounded MUCH sweeter. No doubt about it.

Hope I can get a sweeter sound with the exhaust, but that remiains to be seen.

The tips are what people see, and can easily be replaced with something you like better.

If it's the big mufflers hanging down that bothers you then I guess you're stuck with the look.
