XV, isn't your Vortech rattle-free?
I think it's rattle free. I've heard many Comptech S2000s and each one of them sound like a cement mixer. I believe this is perfectly normal. The Vortechs, on the other hand, has a completely different sound. It sounds more like a hollow tone of an axe being sharened.

I was able to push 439 rwhp through the stock exhaust and 453 through the Amuse dual. I know it's holding me up now so there is a new system being created. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=418638

Yea, all the Novi 1000's rattle; It's the backlash in the gear drive, where your setup has a belt (not the main belt, but the step-up gearing for the blower itself). I get a kick out of hearing the rattle change into a whistle as I get on the gas, but I totally agree with those who think it sounds like a cement mixer.

Wow...that's funny...I just finished my Comptech Supercharger installation and it doesn't rattle at all. The only sound I hear is a faint whistle at idle. The pitch of the whistle changes as the RPMs increase. Other than the whistle sound, the charger is very quiet.

Does the "cement mixer" sound occur as the charger ages?
