i always thought that running a sc w/ a stock exhaust would cause too much backpressure, would could possibly damage the motor?

Stock exhaust flows very well compared to aftermarket ones and should be more than adequate for low boost. I dont believe I've ever read anywhere on the boards that suggested the the stock exhaust would cause too much backpressure and damage the motor.

To my understanding, only thing you stand to gain with aftermarket exhausts is weight reduction and perhaps a few ponies.

I have an AEM cai right now. And that's all the sound I'll ever want....

With the comptech supercharger I'm going to lose that aren't I?

Yes, you are. I had a V1 and loved the sound, but the supercharger is better. Even though it doesn't begin to sound as sweet, the added power more than makes up for the loss. Besides, the SC makes its own sounds, and they're cool too. Not as cool as unsilenced induction noise, but still pretty sweet.

It's a tradeoff I don't regret.
