Default Stock PCV gutting

I've decided to gut my stock pcv to run a hose from there to a filtered catch can. I've been here looking at but cant figure out the best way to do it. Is there some way to pull the insides out or does anyone know how to gut it?

why not just run a hose right to the catch can? forget the pcv. unless you are trying to pass emissions visual inspection? although i thought a catch can will fail visual inspection?

Get a 1/2" nylon barbed elbow and use that instead.

No emissions to worry about. Where can I get a nylon elbow that'll fit? Local auto parts store? I haven't looked around yet and didn't know I could get one of those.

I need some type of fitting to hook the hose up to on the valve cover.

Hardware store or order it online. 1/2' barbed elbow. I had some trouble finding one locally.

I simply drilled it out?

Clean out all the shavings w/the some brake clean, took all of about 2 mins and was free.
