I did install new spark-plugs and moved the coils around then went out for a drive and the same thing happened again. #3 was black. but am thinking to change the coils anyways cause they are old... where did you get your coil ??? did you get it from Honda ? I also heard Acura rsx type S will fit the s2k..

ok...so here are some updates..got my injectors today and before i installed them i went ahead and took a look at my connection from the injector plug wires to the harness wire where i solder them..i did notice that the cylinder where im having the issure #3 after the solder there was a small cut with some wire were sticking out and it was touching the intake manifold making the injector trigger wire being grounded..so i fixed that issue and this is what happened...i notice that before i fixed this wire issue at a cold start my wide band gauge will read in the 10's making it really rich...after i fixed the wire issue the cold start now reads no lower than 12.5 and after the car warms up it goes up around 13.8 and 14.5 making the car perfect..so i took it for a spin, when i step on the throttle the car is still running rich, wide band reading 10.4 and 10..this is way to rich..when it should be around 10.9 or 11.5 or so not less then this..so am thinking that now its time to take it back to the tuner and give it couple of pulls on the dyno to see if its a tuning issue now..

what i haven't tested just yet is that i will be doing tomorrow is installing new spark-plugs and go out for another spin to see if they are all burning the same or if #3 is still comes out black...here is my theory, if it comes out black then I'm back to having the same issue that i had from the very beginning if they are all burning properly then its time to go back to the dyno and make some adjustments.

what do you think ???

While you are at it do a simple compression test just to put your mind at ease

That's why I don't like soldered connections on car looms, they always start to fail just up from the joint due to the stress concentration.

i agree but the problem wasn't on the solder it self it was after the solder along the wiring harness where i found the issue..

so here are some more updates.. i install new park-plugs today and took it out for a spin.. came back and removed the spark-plugs to take a look at them to see if anything has changed on cylinder #3.. and great news!! its not black anymore and they are all burning equal but the car still runs rich, witch i believe i just have to make some tuning adjustments next week on the dyno..

i would like to take this opportunity to thanks all of my s2ki brothers that have help me out and gave me advise on what to do or what it can be causing this issue.. i don't think there is another forum like this one that there are knowledgeable people that are willing to help another member out.. thank you !!

Damn, I guess running rich is better than lean though! I hope you get it worked out.
