Default can ecu's be swapped

hey guys i need a new ecu and found this one 37820-pzx-a02 can it be swapped into an ap1 car? I know it's from an ap2 as the guy also has the keys and whole column so i would get the keys, ignition column, and ecu. the harness look the same but i am not sure if they are..... I have a 2.4 stroker motor with greddy e-manage ult so not worried about it cutting it down to 8k as i did that already. would i be better asking this is electronics?

yes it will work. You can just have your keys reprogrammed to work with the ECU at the dealership, you don't need the other keys or steering column

I ran an AP1 ECU in my AP2, the other way around should work just fine for your stroker. Keep in mind you will have to retune though.

i can't tune my ecu as it wont read the o2 sensors, i have replaced the o2 sensors and have checked the harness 3 times. only thing left is ecu.... I kinda want the keys i like the ap2 keys better lol... plus with getting the keys i wont need to pay to reprogram right?

if you have a stroker then why arnt you running an AEM EMS or Kpro. That would ultimately be a much better choice for your setup no?

probably but right now i funds are low. so i would rather just fix the ecu problem i have and keep the e-manage ultimate plus i am going to go to the i-vetc so i am waiting to see what supports that the best.
