They hyperground kit sounds like a capacitor.

Dug this up from evolution.net:
Ok, another Review. Just got the new TPR magazine. They did a part by part review of making a 2002 Accord gain more horespower. One of the things they did was put on the Hyperground kit. Not a big gain, only about 1/2 -1hp accross the board. But it gained 1mph.
ROFL. 1/2 hp If someone has built an internal combustion engine/ chassis dyno combination that is accurate to +1/2 hp from run to run, it needs to replace all the other dynos out there. 1 mph trap increase with 1/2 to 1 hp... mkay

Some posts go on to say that since the "race" cars at SEMA () have them, they wouldn't waste their money so it must be good. Yeah, those bestickered cars at SEMA have nothing but performance in mind, it's not like they're using those cars as billboards for the products they're pimping.

I also wonder if any 'improvement' of these things could be achieved by just cleaning the negative terminal of your batt. since you will effectively be doing that when you install the kit.

-better Mileage
-better Response
-better Starting Ability
-longer battery life

Those may be actually true if your car is older and the existing ground wires are in a corroded or deposit laden state. However, if you were to replace the existing bad wires, you'd accomplish the same thing that a grounding kit would do. On a newer car, you'd see virtually nothing.
There's a thread in the FAQs that discussed this topic:

You really want to spend that kind of money just to have pretty wires run through your engine bay?

Only the ones with reputable brand names printed on them will give you fully sik power. If you can find one on ebay with 'Mugen' printed on it that is the ticket. See if they'll throw in some stickers too. Good for another 5-10hp.
That's some funny sh#t, what's msrp on the Moogenator?

I once bought an MSD ignition box for my Nissan 240SX about 10 years ago. I must admit it did give me a more stable idle and smoother acceleration, but that car had one ignition coil and a distributor. Definitely not as advanced as the S's system. The MSD box actually fired the sparkplug multiple times instead of one big spark.
